Meet Mike

My wife Jenna and I have lived in Wrentham since 2017. We moved here when we were starting our family, and Jenna grew up in Wrentham; we knew this was where we wanted to raise our children. I'm proud to be the father of three boys, currently ages 6, 4, and 2. My oldest is in 1st grade at Delaney and my middle child will be in kindergarten next year. With three sons, we will be involved with Wrentham Elementary for the next decade and I'm personally invested in the success of our elementary schools.

Experience

As an aerospace engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UMass Amherst and a Master's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, I have over 17 years of corporate experience solving problems and leading collaborative teams. In my professional role, I participate in and lead committees, working with hundreds of engineers across 20 product platforms and three continents to develop standard work and continuously improve processes. My experience collaborating with diverse skill sets and backgrounds has honed my ability to actively listen and foster inclusivity, ensuring all team members have an opportunity to contribute.I believe our School Committee would benefit from this approach, which involves defining the problem statement, gathering facts and supporting data, and facilitating open discussion. By working together as a team, I am confident we can reach a consensus and make the best decisions for our children.

Priorities

While this would be my first time serving on a school committee and in public office, I intend to utilize my collaborative and problem-solving skills to assist the committee:

  • Strive for academic excellence. Support our teachers and develop sound policy.

  • Support facility improvements, including the Roderick project.

  • Navigate budget challenges. Secure additional state funding.

  • Listen to families and the community.

  • Represent our children. Be their champion.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
